Health History

When you first arrive we will need to collect some information from you regarding your current state of health and your past health history. We don't like paperwork either but this is a necessary step so we can get to know as much about your health as possible.

Consultation with Dr. Dan

Dr. Dan will review your health history with you and gather more information if needed. He will also explain to you what is to be expected during the remainder of this visit including any additional testing procedures that may be required.

This is a good time to get any questions answered or concerns addressed. You are always encouraged to gather as much information as you can so you can make informed decisions about your care in our office.

Chiropractic Hands On Evaluation with Dr. Dan

A chiropractic evaluation involves assessing the body for tension in the muscle, joints, and ligaments of the body. Mostly the exam will be focused on the spine.

The tension found in the body determines what type of adjustments are needed and where they need to be done. This type of evaluation will occur every time you come to the office.

In addition we will also use manual muscle testing to determine how well your nerves are functioning. In order for a muscle to work properly it needs to get a proper signal from the nervous system. We can test the muscles to find the areas of the nervous system that are not sending the proper signals. We then use this information to monitor progress through your care.

X-rays

X-rays are a very valuable source of information for your health. They help us to determine if serious damage has occurred to your spine due to neurological dysfunction. We also assess biomechanical misalignments with the x-rays. This is a great aid in preventing serious damage from occurring in the future. It is very hard to repair spinal damage and sometimes it just isn’t possible. Catching problems in the initial stages is extremely important and x-rays help us to do that. Your x-rays are currently covered by OHIP.

Report of Findings

The last event for this visit is to book an appointment for your report of findings. At the report of findings Dr. Dan will inform you of the results of his testing and his recommendations for care.

There is no additional charge for this report of findings visit. Once you have completed the report of findings you can then decide whether you wish to continue with your care.
