Here is my family. My wife, Hedy, and our two children, William and Lara.
I was born in Grimsby, Ontario, and finished high school in St. Catharines. After high school I moved to Toronto and studied electronics. That is where Hedy and I met.
I completed a 3 year program and then went on to work in the computer field. I worked with the very first PC’s put out by IBM, back when Bill Gates was just getting started.
Shortly after beginning my computer work I developed an interest in understanding the human body and what it takes to maximize my health. After two years of working I was ready to make a change in career.
It was chiropractic that inspired me to make that change. I’ve been going to a chiropractor since I was about 5 years old. I am so grateful my Mom saw the wisdom in chiropractic way back then. My health growing up was always pretty good, even though I hated to eat my vegetables, and often fed them to the dog. Now I realize that much of my good health was due to the regular adjustments I received.
I would go in for regular checkups and occasionally I would go for the occasional sports injury. It wasn’t until later in life when a chiropractor finally sat me down and explained what chiropractic was really all about. He explained that chiropractic was not just about helping aches and pains, it was MUCH bigger. Once I was shown this bigger picture I was hooked and I knew that chiropractic was where I wanted to be.
After attending the University of Toronto for 2 years and then the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College for 4 years I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in May of 1994, and yes a chiropractor is a “real” doctor, and our focus is on restoring your health through natural means, without the use of drugs or surgery.
I have a deep desire to help people achieve a greater state of health. I feel that the state of the world today is very much a reflection of the state of health of humanity. I think that healthy people will make healthy choices for the world, and unhealthy people will make unhealthy choices. If we focus on our own health and well being and assist others in doing the same we will improve the state of the world.
I am very grateful to be able to work as a chiropractor. I get to witness the miracle of life that lies within each of us on a daily basis. I truly believe that our main purpose in life is to serve others, and I can not think of a better way for me to serve humanity than by helping others maximize their health.
When I am not working as a chiropractor I enjoy being physically active. I have been involved in martial arts since 1985 and I currently hold a first degree black belt in the style of Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate.
In the Spring of 2001 I started the study of Yoshinkan Aikido. Aikido is another style of martial art which is very unique. It focuses on harmonizing with your attacker such that you redirect the attackers forces against him. The dojo where I train is called Bushinkan Dojo and it is located in Trenton. I received my black belt in Aikdio in December of 2005.
Some of my electronics career is still with me. It helped me to develop my skills with computers. My friends often call me first when their computer goes on the blink. I enjoy working with them and I am always glad to help.
I do some computer programming as a hobby now. I have created a few children’s education programs and I created and maintain this website, so let me know what you think of it. If you have any questions you would like to ask, please E-mail them to me. I will answer them as best I can.
Thanks for coming to my website. I hope it is helpful to you in developing your understanding of chiropractic. Chiropractic has been helping families achieve much greater health for over 100 years. I hope I get the opportunity to show you what chiropractic can do for your family.
Yours in Health,
